Last Activity Dates allows users to see when the Target, Lead, Contact, or Account was last communicated with. It can also drill down to each activity type and quickly create a list of customers or prospects that haven't had contact within a set timeframe, making it perfect for account management, sales, customer service, and other customer-facing departments.

It looks like it may have started working at 11:31 PDT - How do I recover the Last Activity for those that happened between 7:25 AM ands 11:30 AM?

I'm working my way through the emails that were archived to confirm that the Last Email was not recorded. Some of the contacts had email activity after the add-in started working again so I removed them from the list that needs to be corrected. If we wait long enough, maybe there'll be another email that will correct the fields. Going through all of the calls that weren't recorded will be cumbersome and painful.

I realize you're in the UK where it's about 5:45 Friday morning. Please let me know how I can recover the missing Last Activity dates.

I've identified 65 Contact records where the add-in failed to record the email between 7:25 AM and 11:24 AM PDT this morning. I've created a spreadsheet with hot links to the email and the Contact Record.

How do I get these updated?

I'll start working on the list of calls next.

There were only 30 calls that didn't update. WHY did this happen?

Hi Adam, I may appear upset because I am! The failure this morning has caused a lot of grief. Reports are incorrect, managers are upset, and our dependence on multiple BPM processes are in question.

WHY did this happen? I'm waiting and hoping that the update the entire 30,000 records will fix the 65 email and 30 call records that weren't updated during for the four hour outage of YOUR server.

Hi Bud, as you are aware we have been discussing this via direct email. Once the issue has been fully solved, we will provide a summary here for future reference.

    Hi Bud,

As confirmed via emails the issue occurred due to failing to validate the licence which resulted in the package not processing the data to set Last Activity Dates. This then automatically re-validated and the dates were then being updated. Due to using a previous version of the package which did not handle re-processing of activity data which was created during the down time this needed to be triggered manually. Once the latest version had been installed your Last Activity Dates were all updated correctly as expected because of the improvements in historic data handling.

As also mentioned, we are planning to release a new version of this package in the future which improves licence validation checks for events such as this.

    Kind regards, Adam
